Jedson Acoustic Guitars Overview

The most valuable Jedson Acoustic is the JW813 Jumbo. It has the most elaborate styling and superior materials.  12-String guitars are also sought after.

The most common models are the 9000 and F907
  • Manufactured in Japan by Terada between 1969-1972 (approximately.)
  • Four styles
    • Orchestra (F907, TR1000)
      • These models are identical
      • Specifications match Martin 000-28 14-fret
      • Solid Spruce top
      • Laminated Rosewood backsides
      • Rosewood fingerboard
      • Mahogany neck
      • Pearl masthead logo inlay
      • Pearl inlay fingerboard position-markers- block style
      • 3-stripe binding
      • Center-stripe
      • Closed chrome tuners
      • Adjustable metal saddle holder -- plastic saddle
    • Dreadnought (9000, W130, FW913)
      • 9000 and W130 are the only "entry-level" Jedson acoustics. These two models are identical. Only one W130 has been seen in "public"

        • Dot inlay - position markers

      • FW913
        • Essentially a F907 in Dreadnought shape - same materials and styling
        • Styled after the Martin D28 but not exact 
    • Jumbo (JW837)
      • Specifications similar to the Gibson SJ200
      • Solid Spruce top
      • Laminated Maple back/sides (3-piece back)
      • Maple neck
      • Rosewood fingerboard
      • Engraved pickguard (SJ styling)
      • Does not have the SJ "mustache" bridge style
    • 12-string Dreadnought (W924 ?)
      • Body styling similar to F907 andFW913 except
        • Laminated Mahogany back/sides (with center-stripe)
        • Open tuners
